How can I find my ring size?

There are a few ways to size your finger. The most accurate way is to go into your local jewelry store and have a jeweler size you. A DIY method would be to use a string or piece of floss and wrap it around the base of your finger. Measure the length of the string in millimeters (mm). Once you have your measurement use this size chart to find your size.

Why is my silver jewelry changing colors?

This is called tarnish. In a perfect world your jewelry would stay dry and be stored in a tarnish resistant box when not being worn. For us jewelry wearers who never take our piece off this is a bit unrealistic. Tarnish will not harm your jewelry. Simply clean your jewelry to remove the discoloration.

How should I clean my jewelry?

For frequent cleaning your best option would be to use a jewelry cloth. For a deeper clean you can use a dollop of dish soap on a soft brittle toothbrush. Scrub your jewelry and rinse it under lukewarm water.

What is the difference between karat and carat?

Karat (kt) is used when describing the purity of gold and carat (ct) when describing the weight of a diamond or gemstone.

What’s the difference between metals?

10kt - Hallmark .417 meaning there is 41.7% gold and 58.3% alloy metals

14kt - Hallmark .585 meaning there is 58.5% gold and 41.5% alloy metals

18kt - Hallmark .750 meaning there is 75% gold and 25% alloy metals

22kt - Hallmark .916 meaning there is 91.6% gold and 8.4% alloy metals

24kt - Hallmark .999 meaning there is 99.9% gold

Fine Silver - Hallmark .999 meaning there is 99.9% silver

Sterling Silver - Hallmark .925 meaning there is 92.5% silver and 7.5% alloy metal

Alloy metals are present in gold and silver jewelry is to make the piece strong enough for wear. Most high karat jewelry is too soft for everyday wear. A note on gold karats, the higher the karat the more bright the gold. Most gold jewelry is 14 or 18 karat while most silver jewelry is sterling.
